    Position Summary: 

    To provide competent professional security installations and service to customers while meeting reasonable productivity standards in order for the Company to effectively compete in the marketplace. To deal fairly and cooperatively with the Company and its customers. Must be able to work in a team environment, as well as be able to resolve issues accurately and independently.

    Description: 

    • Prepares for security installations or service calls by reviewing installation/service orders; gathering equipment, supplies and tools; coordinating schedules with customers.
    • Plans security installations by surveying and evaluating location; identifying alarm installation requirements; laying-out equipment and wiring plan.
    • Establishes security system by installing equipment; running and pulling wiring; programming and calibrating equipment; adhering to codes, regulations and standards.
    • Verifies security system functioning by testing equipment, connections and signals; identifying and correcting problems.
    • Maintains records by documenting installation or service call.
    • Maintains customer rapport by resolving concerns; answering questions.
    • Maintains safe and secure work environment by following safe practices; keeping security information confidential.
    • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years Home Security Installation Experience
    • Minimum Education Level: High School Diploma or Equivalent with Electrical
    • NY State Security Alarm Installers license is a PLUS but not necessary

    Wanted: Security/ Fire Alarm system Installer (Statewide, New York)

    Are you Currently engaged in Installing, servicing or maintaining Fire or Security systems statewide in New York?

    If So, We have a position for you!

    Description:

    Test backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, and all security features in order to ensure proper functioning, and to diagnose malfunctions.

    Examine systems to locate problems, such as loose connections or broken insulation.

    Mount and fasten control panels, door and window contacts, sensors, or video cameras and attach electrical and telephone wiring to connect components.

    Install, maintain, or repair security systems, alarm devices, or related equipment

    Feed cables through access holes, to reach fixture outlets; then position and terminate cables, wires and strapping.

    Experience:

    Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required. Preferred candidates will have completed vocational training, with having passed a licensing exam (current, valid New York state, applicable license), in order to perform the job.

    Training:

    One or two years of training involving both on-the-job experience and informal training with experienced workers preferred.

    **Must Possess a current, valid, New York State Security/ Fire Alarm system license**

    Nationwide Contractor Seeking Licensed Security/Burglar Alarm Technicians

    Endeavor is currently looking for Licensed Security Alarm Technicians for ongoing contract piece-work in and around the NYC Metro area.  Work typically includes alarm installations, upgrades, takeovers, reprograms, camera installations, CCTV cabling, and service tickets. 

    The majority of dispatches are scheduled days in advance and requested during standard business hours Monday through Friday, but certain dispatch types require a more immediate time frame so techs with a more flexible schedule would be preferred.

    Technicians must supply their own reliable vehicle, cell phone, Windows-based Laptop, as well as standard alarm tools.

    This is part time 1099 contract work doing piece work.
